Pistol River Concert Association is Returning!
With the Covid pandemic finally winding its way down to something we all must find our own way to deal with, the Pistol River Concert Association (PRCA) is making plans to bring music back to the Pistol River Friendship Hall.
Regulations and recommendations, as well as caution for our audiences and visiting musicians, have kept the Concert Association quiet for over two years.
In addition, significant life changes have led to several recent departures from the PRCA Board of Directors. While we can’t thank them enough for the hard work these folks have done over the years, helping bring great music to the South Coast, the shoes left behind are tough to fill.
Although we’re still looking for a couple of replacements (anyone interested?!) with the continued easing of restrictions on large gatherings, PRCA has set its sights on restarting the music this fall.
We will, of course, obey any restrictions that may be in place at the time of the shows and
encourage our guests to abide by any issued health recommendations. But the goal is to bring back a tradition – with its roots dating back 40 years – of fine acoustic music performed on the homey Friendship Hall stage.
Keep an eye and ear on local media outlets for show dates and information. Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to seeing you and all our music lovers soon in Pistol River!
